Join JOY International on a service and ministry trip to Belize! The purpose of the JOY International Service Team is to bless the attendees of the 2024 Belize Staff Care Training and Retreat. This training and retreat is designed just for staff and long-term volunteers who are combatting human trafficking, serving vulnerable populations, or assisting trauma survivors. The staff of shelters and outreach programs are often overworked and face burnout from the intensity of their jobs. The retreat and training allow staff to rest, connect, learn, and grow alongside others working in similar fields. Service team members will lead teaching sessions, pray with attendees, and help support the staff through encouragement and coaching.

We are looking for participants experienced in any of the following areas:

- Prayer ministry or pastoral care

- Trauma Healing and Trauma-Informed Care

- Physical therapy, massage therapy, or occupational therapy

- Backgrounds in counseling, therapy, psychology or personal development coaching.

- Experience leading games, crafts, or sports

- Camp counseling or small group leadership

$2,400 fundraising commitment. The fundraising amount covers all airfare, transportation, lodging, food, and ministry supplies.

Come serve the people of Belize and help fight human trafficking by strengthening prevention efforts and anti-trafficking organizations. The primary goal of this trip will be to minister to kids and teens who are in foster care or living in children’s homes; those who have been removed from their families due to abuse, trafficking, or exploitation. We will also focus ministry on the staff and caregivers of these children’s homes, pouring love and encouragement into them. We will split our time between Belmopan and Punta Gorda, Belize, working with various children’s homes and anti-trafficking organizations. Children’s ministry, teen discipleship, and staff encouragement will all be a part of this life-changing trip! This is an excellent trip for first-time mission trip applicants who may not have a lot of experience, but have a heart’s desire to serve!

• Marriage counseling

• Life Coaching

Applicants should be in good physical condition and able to handle a tropical environment with high heat.

Fundraising commitment covers all airfare, lodging, food, transportation, and ministry supplies in Belize.

Join us on a life-changing trip to Nepal where you will lead a kids camp for survivors of human trafficking and work to bless the staff and residents of the JOY International Mukti Home. Trip participants will lead a camp for the 30 girls ages 9-18 living at the JOY Mukti Home during a school holiday. We will also do basic home improvement projects around the property to help make sure the home is one of safety, joy, and care. Finally, we will take the staff of the JOY Mukti Home on a brief retreat out of Kathmandu for a short period of rest and renewal. Applicants should expect to lead and participate in kids activities, home improvement projects, and ministering to staff through encouragement and prayer.

Applicants should be in good physical condition and able to handle long travel days.
