Gina is an experienced nonprofit leader who has served in senior leadership and executive director roles within Colorado-based nonprofits serving women and children for over 20 years. Gina has a passion for creating community among women and empowering and developing women and girls as leaders. Gina's leadership style centers upon developing trust and open communication with team members and empowering them to collaboratively work toward an inspired mission.
Alyssa mckinley
program director
Alyssa McKinley joined the JOY International team in 2015 and has filled various roles to help further JOY’s mission in the fight against trafficking. She has led ministry teams in 14 countries and is passionate seeing others walk in the fullness of freedom, healing, and identity that God has for them. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Justice Studies from Grand Canyon University and is trained as a Trauma Informed Care Practitioner.
TONYA SWEATER
DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Tonya spent 14 years as an educator and after deciding to work with students in the gifted program, she pursued her master's classes in Gifted Education. Over the years, she enjoyed providing students with enriching instruction; as well as engaging in leadership roles, such as directing a Summer Enrichment Program for students that needed additional support. With her continued desire to help children, in 2018, Tonya became a volunteer for JOY International and joined the JOY staff in 2019.
